John Barton, Principal
John received his BA and M. Arch degrees from U.C. Berkeley. He worked at a number of Bay Area firms before founding Barton Architect in 1990. John has taught design and architecture at U.C. Berkeley, CaƱada College, San Jose State University and is currently Interim Director of the Architectural Design Program at Stanford University. John enjoys cooking, playing lacrosse, and reading good literature and history. He likes Saturdays when the Cal Bears play football.

Matt Johnson, Associate
Matt holds a BA from Stanford and an M.Arch from Yale University. He worked in a number of prestigious firms across the the country before coming to Barton Architect. Matt is an extraordinary designer and has been at the forefront of Barton Architect's growth in 3D modeling and imaging. Matt enjoys making music, traveling and reading about architecture.

Veronika Heckova
Veronika holds a BS in Architectural Design from Stanford University. She leads the efforts on our smaller projects and takes pleasure in learning every phase of the design process from design through construction. Veronika is looking to graduate school and enjoys a wide variety of artistic expression.

Curtis Monette
Curtis is working towards his B. Arch at Southern University in Baton Rouge. He works with Barton Architect during school breaks. Curtis enjoys his many cars and is amazed by his baby daughter.
